Macros are simply the proportion of Fat/Carbs/Protein you have to consume on the Ketogenic diet. I will go on to say that this is a major mind shift from the calories in, calories out method. In fact, it didn’t take me long to figure out that maintaining proportion of macros was more important than meeting the daily calories requirement. Especially when we get into the concept of Intermittent Fasting (IF) as it relates to keto.
